But still, the IVF specialized team (Embryologist & team) take tremendous efforts at each and every step and throughout the procedure to nurture the gametes from the day of egg collection to embryo transfer (Day 3: 6-8 cell stage or Day 5: Blastocyst stage).

For an embryo to develop in the outside environment, it requires optimal controlled culture conditions. Only then the embryos can survive and get implanted once the embryos are transferred back to the mother’s womb. That’s the reason the entire laboratory environment is monitored and maintained (just like a mother’s womb) with utmost precision and care by a team of specialist (Embryologist).

At Ova, the modular IVF laboratory set up is fitted with air handling unit which not only helps in purifying the air, but also to maintain the positive pressure, temperature and humidity inside the laboratory. We make sure that the laboratory and equipments are free of contaminants and volatile organic compounds, by using filters like High Efficiency Particulate Air filters (HEPA) or Ultra Low Particulate Air filters (ULPA) which removes all the impurities (0.1µm, ultra fine particles) and the filtered air is 99.99% pure. The embryos are cultured in temperature, humidity controlled Co2 buffered Medias, which are nothing but the nutritive broth containing aminoacids, proteins, glucose, lactate, pyruvate, bicarbonate etc. These medias are similar to the fluid content of the fallopian tube and uterus. From the air quality to the nutritive media all the parameters are kept almost equivalent to the mother’s womb; so that the embryos are not only in the healthy environment, but also once transfer to mother’s womb they are in the familiar environment.
